Short facts: born 1987, from Bodø, studied American politics and history at the University of Bergen, studies political science at the Faculty of Social Sciences (FSV).

Current and earlier positions:
Created FOPP: Fagutvalg (subject committee) and party planning. It was created for the studentsof political science and organisation and leadership in lack of a buddy-program and information from INTER the first year at the university. There were meetings between FOPP and the facultyadministration. Was earlier head of marketing for INTER, is today representative for INTER at the student parliament. Is a member of the Norwegian Labour Party.

Why do you want to become leader for SOB?
- The one active year as a participant in the established student political organisation, I haveseen how it is shouting out loud for involvement from more students. I believe I will do a good job toinclude and involve more people to create an active student environment at the university. That is my main reason for why I am running in this election, I desire to create an involvement amongst thestudents.

How do you plan to implement this?
- A better dialog between the student organisations. As a student leader it is little I can doalone. All must work and pull in the same direction - everyone together. The first challenge is the buddy program. More "buddies" per new student is a goal. To be involved in the buddy program does not imply to be engaged for one single party, but it is a work of including the new students inthe social everyday life. It is about establishing a network that is open for the new students whenthey arrive. This is not only the student political life meaning SOB, but also Bosi and Ventus for example.The student representative for the midterm course evaluations is something I desire to work morewith. It is a part of the study quality improvement and it is about improving the quality of eachsingle course. There should be a ready network for each student representative in each class that isready to receive the feedback from the students. A student representative should not be afraid toapproach the lecturers and discuss relevant issues, also the answers from the midterm evaluationsshould be open and available. At FSV, the dean and the quality and course responsible (no: fag- og kvalitetsansvarlig) visit each class to introduce who they are and how the system works. Thatis a pretty good system which can be thought to be transferred to other faculties. A better dialogbetween the student organisations is the way to succeed. Then it will be an improved student society (Samfunnet) and a better buddy program and arrangement of student representatives. All of thesethings are interlinked.

Concerning Samfunnet - may that be in conflict with your current job at SkuBare?
- Primarily, if I am lucky enough to be elected I will end my job at SkuBare. Secondly, ifSamfunnet is working optimally it would not be a conflict with SkuBare. It would be a part ofcontributing to make Mørkved a more attractive place to go during the weekends instead of the citycentre. But to make Samfunnet fully working it should be a main responsible person who works in aposition of either fifty percent or more. I would gladly see it as a part of SOB again. And here again,the recruitment of volunteers during the time of the buddy program will become very important.
